I was already in a frustrated mood when I noticed they charged me too much again. I reached out hoping it would be a quick fix, but so far nothing has been corrected. It’s really disappointing having to deal with the same billing issue more than once

I wouldn’t bother if you’re hoping for helpful wine suggestions. It kept recommending bottles that were nothing like what I usually enjoy, so I ended up wasting time clicking through picks I’d never actually buy.

The delivery was okay overall, but the updates seemed to come a little late. I’m sure the package was already moving along before I got notified, so it would’ve been nice to get those updates sooner.

"Cracked bottle was more hassle than it should’ve been"
One of the bottles arrived cracked and had leaked into the box, which obviously isn’t ideal. I let them know, but it took longer than it should have to get sorted and I had to chase it up. These things happen, but you’d expect a straightforward replacement or refund without having to keep following up. Not a terrible experience, just a bit of a faff

"Nice wine, but the stock can be a bit hit and miss"
I’ve ordered from Laithwaites a few times now and, to be fair, the wine has usually been really good. The only thing that’s a bit frustrating is the stock. A couple of bottles I wanted were showing as out of stock, and then one of my orders had a substitute in it that I didn’t really fancy. Delivery was fine, no real issues there. I just wish the website was a bit more accurate, really, so you know what’s actually available before you get your hopes up

Tried using the discount code and, once again, it didn’t work. It makes the offers feel kind of fake. On top of that, the whole thing feels carelessly handled, like nobody is checking whether these codes actually work before sending them out

"Refund took way longer than it should have"
The wine itself was totally fine, no complaints there, but the refund process was frustrating. It took ages to come through, and I had to chase them twice just to get a proper update. Each time it felt like they were leaning on their policy as an excuse for the delay, which didn’t really help. Not the best experience overall.

I ordered a mixed case from Laithwaites and the delivery was totally fine, no issues there, and to be fair a few of the bottles were really nice and I enjoyed them, but then there were a couple that just weren’t for me at all and I probably wouldn’t buy them again, which I suppose is kind of the gamble with a mixed case. The prices seemed okay, not terrible but not exactly a bargain either, so I might order from them again at some point, although next time I’d probably just choose the bottles myself instead of leaving it to chance.

I mean, overall, the wine was good and we definitely enjoyed most of it. Like, the flavors were nice and it was a solid experience, but yeah, one of the bottles was just kind of average. Not bad or anything, just not really as good as the others, you know?

The wine itself was mostly fine, no big complaints there. But the subscription part got annoying quickly. I expected it to be simple to pause or tweak things, but there always seemed to be some extra step, deadline, or little timing catch to deal with, which is not exactly fun when you’re just trying to order wine.
I don’t mind being in a wine club, but I need more control over delivery dates, case sizes, and skipping a month here and there. I kept having to watch my emails so I wouldn’t get charged again by accident, which felt like more admin than I wanted. In the end, it just wasn’t flexible enough for the way I actually shop.

Ordering on Laithwaites was mostly okay, and I’m not trying to make a huge complaint out of it, but the checkout did feel a bit more awkward than it probably needed to be. I had to go back and double-check a couple of things because the delivery details and offers weren’t completely clear to me.
The payment did go through fine in the end, and the confirmation email came through quickly, so it wasn’t some major problem. I just think the checkout could be a bit simpler and smoother, that’s all.

"Selection felt a bit limited to me"
I’ve ordered from Laithwaites a couple of times now, but the wine selection feels a little samey for my taste. There seem to be a lot of similar reds, and the mixed cases don’t give you much room to choose if you want to build something more personal. A few of the bottles were perfectly fine, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to keep browsing. I also expected the ordering and case options to have clearer instructions, since it wasn’t always obvious what I could swap or customize. Overall, it’s probably just not the right fit for me...

I ordered some wine thinking it would arrive in a few days, but it took way longer than expected. The tracking barely updated, so I had no idea what was going on most of the time. By the time it finally showed up, I didn’t even need it anymore. Frustrating overall, delivery speed really needs to be better.

I ordered this as a gift, and it did get sent out fine in the end. The tracking was a little confusing and had me second-guessing where it was for a bit, which wasn’t ideal. But the gift arrived, so I guess I can’t complain too much

I was disappointed with how this was packed. The box felt really flimsy and looked like it had already been through a rough trip before it even got to me. One of the bottles was cracked, so everything inside was wet. For a wine delivery, I really expected them to pack it a lot better. If this is "normal," I won’t be ordering again...

i tried contacting laithwaites twice about an order that never showed up, and it took days to get anything back. the phone just left me waiting, and the email response felt like a generic copy and paste that didn’t actually answer what i asked.
i get that companies get busy, but this was frustrating. i still didn’t have a clear update, so i ended up having to chase them again myself.
